City of Green Lake Trail

This paved trail runs along Highway 23, starting at North Street and going all the way to the Green Lake Conference Center, connecting this prestigious venue with the rest of the community and countless Green Lake, WI vacation rentals without requiring pedestrians to go through the highway.

As a non-motorized multi-use path, the City of Green Lake Trail welcomes all runners and cyclists. It takes you through lush foliage and open areas.

Mascoutin Valley State Park Trail

This multipurpose trail in Northeastern Wisconsin allows for hiking, running, horseback riding, and of course, cycling. In the winter months, it is a popular spot for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. At 32 miles, its considerable length poses a great opportunity for adventurous cyclists who want to explore Green Lake, Ripon, and Fond Du Lac.

The scenic trail takes you past wetlands, marshes, farms, and prairies, so don’t forget your camera —some of the stops along the trail deserve a spot in your Instagram page.

With a limestone, gravel, and grass surface, the trail is ideal for off-road bikes.Dogs are allowed on the trail provided that they are kept on an eight-foot or shorter leash at all times. Pet owners are required to pick up after their dogs.

Ceresco Prairie Mountain Bike Trail

A popular spot for trail runners and cyclists, the Ceresco Prairie Mountain Bike Trail was specifically designed for mountain bike use, so the latter have right-of-way. Joggers and cyclists are advised to head in opposite directions to prevent accidents. Motorized vehicles and horses are not allowed on the trail.

The Ceresco Prairie Singletrack is widely considered a high quality trail, having been built on the side of a hill and surrounded by tall prairie grass and hard woods. At just over a mile in length, it offers some nice climbs, with a few rocky sections.

The area is typically closed off for Ripon College’s fall mountain biking season to make way for the Red Hawks cycling team, which uses the trail for training.

Guskey-Miller Prairie Trail

Set amongst the tall grass of a 38.8-acre restored prairie in Ripon, just outside of Green Lake, this trail borders scenic Silver Creek, commanding stunning views of the water’s surface. The trail is well-maintained, with local volunteers conducting regular conservancy clean-ups. The result is a pristine biking trail with more than little magical quality to it —bike through the woods and revel in the serene environment.
